Pet Wellness
in Broomfield, CO

WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU BRING YOUR PET IN FOR A COMPREHENSIVE WELLNESS EXAM AT LEAST

ONCE A YEAR.

This allows us to ensure they’re healthy or provide treatment recommendations for treatment. For puppies, kittens, and senior pets, we recommend more frequent visits.

or call us at (303) 466-1764.

Every loving owner wants their pets to be healthy. Here at Broomfield Veterinary Hospital, we want the same thing. That’s why we recommend annual comprehensive exams for all of our canine, feline, and exotic pet patients. During these visits, we’ll examine your pet’s eyes, ears, mouth, skin/coat, nose, bones, joints, abdomen, lungs, heart rate, and weight. Feel free to let us know about any abnormalities or concerns you have about your pet’s health.

If we detect a problem after the exam, we can discuss additional testing recommendations, such as a blood test, urine test, or fecal test, or diagnostic imaging. We may also recommend treatment options, such as medication, therapy, surgery, exercise, or diet changes, depending on your pet’s condition.

OTHER ELEMENTS OF PREVENTATIVE CARE

The comprehensive wellness exam here at Broomfield Veterinary Hospital is a form of preventive care for pets. It’s a means of preventing certain health problems from developing, or treating existing ones in their early stages, but it’s only one way to protect your pet. We also recommend that you vaccinate your pet regularly to protect them from diseases, some of which can be life-threatening. Professional dental care, parasite prevention, regular grooming, a healthy diet, and frequent exercise are also important elements of preventive care.

We’ll be happy to provide guidance on how to brush your pet’s teeth at home between professional cleanings. We’ll also give our recommendations on the best parasite preventatives as well as grooming tips. Have questions about your pet’s food or whether or not they’re getting enough exercise and engagement? Let us know. Our team is happy to help.
